Dear self,

I know.

You think you can read that article, listen to that podcast and gorge on your sandwich, as your mind drifts between last night’s dinner table conversation and a youtube video blares in the background. You think you can do all of that at once. After all, isn’t multi-tasking your superpower?

Come on, really, who are you kidding?

Multitasking is a myth.

When you try to do multiple things at once, you end up doing none of them properly. Instead of cramming every second with a gazillion activities, learn to do just one thing at a time.

Do that one thing, but do it well.

Because what matters more than what you do, is how you do it. Instead of splitting your attention into a million tiny pieces, synergize it towards just one thing and if you do it well enough, every action will transform into an act of meditation.

I know it’s difficult. But it will save you from floating in a sea of sedated numbness. Save yourself before you drown.

One. Thing. At. A. Time.
